HC Deb 17 February 1931 vol 248 cc1086-7W
Viscountess ASTOR

asked the Secretary of State for War, approximately, how much beef was supplied to the forces situated in Britain during the six months October to March for the past two years?

Mr. SHAW

The quantity of beef and mutton supplied to the Army at home during a period of six months amounts to approximately 6,000 tons. Separate figures are not available for beef and mutton respectively, but only a relatively small proportion is mutton.
