§ Mr. FREEMANasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will give a list of nations and States taking part in the coming Disarmament Conference, and a list of those who are not participating?
Mr. A. HENDERSONIn view of the terms of Article 8 of the Covenant, it is presumed that all the Members of the League will be represented at the Disarmament Conference. As my hon. Friend will be aware, certain States not members of the League have participated in the work of the Preparatory Commission and it is anticipated that they will attend the conference. It is the earnest hope of His Majesty's Government that all States who wish to participate in the work of the conference will be invited.
