HC Deb 12 February 1931 vol 248 c620W
Mr. O. BALDWIN

asked the Secretary of State for War, whether the Allied medal, granted to military members of the Upper Silesian Commission, is allowed to be worn by the English recipients when in uniform; and whether the Russian medals granted to certain English officers engaged in the late General Wrangel's anti-Russian forces may be worn by these officers in uniform?

Mr. SHAW

In reply to the first part of the question, British subjects are not authorised to wear the medal; in reply to the second part, no objection has been made to the wearing of Russian decorations and medals conferred upon British military personnel after the fall of the Imperial Regime and up to 21st June, 1920, when it was decided that no further awards of the kind could be allowed.
