HC Deb 10 February 1931 vol 248 c220W
Mr. JAMES WELSH

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how often meetings of the Scottish Rivers Pollution Committee are held; what was the date of the last meeting; and if he is satisfied with the progress that is being made with the inquiry?

Mr. W. ADAMSON

The meetings of the Scottish Advisory Committee on Rivers Pollution Prevention are not held at stated intervals. Arrangements have recently been made which, it is hoped, will enable the committee to proceed more rapidly with its work in the future. I may add that the first report of the committee, dealing with the River Tweed and its tributaries, will shortly be issued, while the report on the River Esk (Midlothian) is in course of preparation.
