HC Deb 05 February 1931 vol 247 cc2128-9W
Mr. ISAACS

asked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the action taken by various cinemas in London since the verdict in the Court of Appeal regarding the illegality of Sunday opening, an early decision may be expected on the question of the appointment of a committee to investigate the law and practice in connection with the holding of Sunday entertainments of different kinds?

Mr. CLYNES

At present I can only add, to the reply given to the hon. Member on the 29th ultimo, that I shall be discussing the whole question with representatives of the London County Council this afternoon.
