HC Deb 02 February 1931 vol 247 c1448W
Vice-Admiral TAYLOR

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in framing the London traffic draft regulations, he had before him the evidence submitted to the sub-committee of the London advisory committee; and whether he took such evidence into his consideration?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

The answers to both parts of the question are in the affirmative.

Vice-Admiral TAYLOR

asked the Minister of Transport, in view of the fact that the existing terms of the London traffic draft regulations prohibit the operation of express carriages of those sight-seeing tours the routes of which are solely within the scheduled areas, and which help to attract a large number of foreign visitors to London, if he will modify the regulations in order to encourage this traffic?

Mr. MORRISON

I have received representations as to the effect which the proposed regulations would have upon sight-seeing tours in London, and I will give careful consideration to this aspect of the problem.
