HC Deb 02 February 1931 vol 247 cc1444-5W
Mr. LOUIS SMITH

asked the Postmaster-General whether, in making his arrangements for special obliterating stamps in connection with the forthcoming British Industries Fair, he will consider giving prominence at various times to the chief industries supporting the exhibition in addition to the cotton textile industry, and in particular to the iron and steel industry, in view of the support given by this industry to the fair?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

The reason for special mention this year of the cotton textile section of the British Industries Fair in connection with the postmark advertisement of the Fair is that this Section has this year been added to the Fair for the first time, and some potential visitors might still be ignorant of the fact. There is no such reason for special mention of the other sections.
