asked the President of the Board of Trade the total number of persons who have emigrated from Great Britain to our Dominions and Colonies during the past 12 months; and how this compares with the figures for the previous 12 months?

The total number of British subjects who were recorded in the lists of passengers from ports in this country as leaving permanent residence in Great Britain to take up permanent residence in places within the British Empire during the 12 months ended 30th September, 1930, was 62,297 as compared with 100,497 for the corresponding period of 1929.
