§ Mr. TINKERasked the Secretary for Mines if he is in a position to say what progress has been made in setting up thecoal mines industrial board; and when does he expect to have it completed?
§ Mr. SHINWELLI have received suggestions from certain of the organisations named in the Act, covering about half the membership. The appointment of the board has, however, been delayed by the action of the Mining Association of Great Britain, the Federation of British Industries, the Association of British Chambers of Commerce, and the National Confederation of Employers' Organisations in declining to submit any names. I hope to make a further statement at an early date.
