asked the Minister of Health when the current valuation of approved societies will be completed?

Mr. GREENWOOD

The valuation of the first group of approved societies and branches, which was made as at 31st December, 1927, has now been completed. Progress is being made with the valuation of the second group, as at 31st December, 1928, and it is hoped that the results will be available about the end of the present year, while the results of the valuation of the last group, which are to be valued as at 31st December, 1929, should be available about a year later.

asked the Minister of Health whether he will look into the advisability of suggesting to all approved societies transacting State health insurance business the issue of an annual Report not later than 30th June of each year providing tabular and other information to their membership on standardised lines?

I will take an early opportunity of obtaining the views of the approved Societies' Consultative Council on the suggestion of my hon. Friend.
