HC Deb 15 May 1930 vol 238 c2069W
Mr. D. G. SOMERVILLE

asked the Minister of Health whether any cases have been brought to his notice in which local authorities have insisted upon the supply of electricity in council houses being preferred, to the exclusion of any gas installation of any sort; and what attitude the Ministry is adopting in cases of this nature?

Mr. GREENWOOD

I have received some representations to this effect. The matter is one within the discretion of local authorities.
