HC Deb 13 May 1930 vol 238 c1654W
Mr. SINKINSON

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will consider the establishing of schemes of intensive agriculture under glass in areas where industry has almost vanished, with a view to absorbing part of the unemployed?

Mr. N. BUXTON

The glasshouse industry in this country has developed rapidly during recent years, and is still developing without State aid where conditions are suitable. Assistance is given by the Ministry in every possible way.
