§ Brigadier-General CLIFTON BROWNasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware of the damage suffered by bee-keepers from the diseases of foul brood and acarine; and whether he will impose penalties on those bee-keepers who have knowingly such diseased stocks in their possession by making these diseases notifiable?
§ Dr. ADDISONMy right hon. Friend is aware that damage is suffered by beekeepers in the way suggested. He understands that considerable diversity of opinion exists among bee-keepers as to what measures should be adopted, but if proposals which could be regarded as non-contentious are put forward he would be prepared to consider them.
