§ Mr. GREENWOODOn 1st April, the date on which grants for these purposes were placed on the new basis under the Local Government Act, there were 1,538 maternity beds in voluntary institutions, and 1,023 such beds in municipal institutions, in respect of which grants were paid by my Department.
