HC Deb 06 May 1930 vol 238 c773W
Mr. FREEMAN

asked the Secretary of State for India what is the total number of Indians shot dead and wounded, respectively, by military or police during April, 1930; and whether warning was given in such cases before firing commenced?

Mr. BENN

Definite orders exist, and I have no doubt are in every case obeyed, as to the warnings to be given before opening fire. I will make inquiries as to casualties.
