asked the President of the Board of Education if he will give for the county borough of Croydon and the administrative county of Surrey the number of secondary school pupils in October, 1919, and October, 1929, respectively; the number of free places provided by the respective authorities on each of the before-mentioned dates, and their proportion to the estimated population of the respective areas on each date?

asked the President of the Board of Education the number of new secondary schools included by the Surrey County Council and the Croydon Borough Council in their respective programmes for the period 1930 to 1933, and the estimated cost of such schools as set out in the programmes?

The programme of the Surrey Local Education Authority for the period 1930–33 provides for five new secondary schools at an aggregate estimated cost of£225,000. The Croydon Local Education Authority do not propose to provide any new secondary schools in the period.
