1919, and 1st October, 1929, differentiating between schools maintained and schools aided by the respective authorities?

The information required is as follows:

which early potatoes and ware potatoes are exported to this country; the approximate dates of their arrival; how long this importation continues in each district; and the approximate acreage of the ground at present used in the various districts?

Mr. GILLETT

The principal sources of imports of potatoes into the United Kingdom, apart from the Channel Islands and the Irish Free State, are France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany and Belgium in Europe, and the Canary Islands and Algeria in Africa. The importing seasons are indicated by the detailed statistics of imports given weekly in the Intelligence Notes published by the Empire Marketing Board. According to the most recent statistics issued by the International Institute of Agriculture, the area planted with potatoes in the above countries is as follows:
