§ Mr. DAYasked the Home Secretary whether he has received any reports from the provincial police forces as to the results attained by mounted policewomen in the use of motor cycles for the purposes of their duty; can he give particulars; and whether it is intended to adopt this principle in the Metropolitan district?
§ Mr. CLYNESI regret I am not in a position to give any detailed particulars regarding the work of the policewomen in 2133W county forces who use motor cycles for purposes of their duty. There is no intention of adopting any new basis of organisation in the case of the Metropolitan policewomen until the review of the whole position, to which I have referred in replies to other questions, has been completed.
