§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAasked the Home Secretary whether it is the intention to admit to the police college persons other than those who joined the ranks of the police service in England and Wales in the ordinary way; and, if so, whether the other persons it is proposed to admit will be those in training specially for and consigned to the Colonial police service?
§ Mr. CLYNESThere has been no decision as to the extension of the scheme to serve the purposes of Colonial police services. So far as regards the police forces of England and Wales, my intention was that entrants should be selected exclusively from serving members of those forces.
