§ Mr. LAWSONDuring the period 13th March to 14th July, 1930, out of 10,608 claims to benefit made at the Woolwich Employment Exchange, 326 were disallowed by the Court of Referees for that area on the ground that the applicants were not normally insurable and will not normally seek to obtain a livelihood by means of insurable employment. During the period 12th March, 1929, to 8th July, 1929, out of 7,639 claims made, 640 were disallowed by insurance officers on the ground "not genuinely seeking work," and 33 cases were recommended for disallowance on the same ground by Courts of Referees on review after payment of 78 days' benefit.
