§ Sir R. RODDasked the First Commissioner of Works whether the removal of shrubberies in Regent's Park and the disafforestation of islands which have served as bird sanctuaries is being carried out with the object of finding work for the unemployed; and, if so, whether he will attempt to find activities less detrimental to the landscape values which have been the characteristic charm of that park?
