§ Miss BONDFIELDI am informed that, according to returns furnished to the Board of Trade by the Joint Industrial Council for the glove-making industry, the average number of hours worked by factory workers in the fabric glove industry was 40¼ per week in October, 1930, compared with 36½ hours per week in October of last year. I regret that corresponding figures for the leather glove industry are not yet available, but I will communicate them to the hon. and gallant Member when I receive them.
