§ Sir R. GOWERasked the Home Secretary when the last inspection was made by an officer of his Department of the accommodation for stray dogs at police stations in the Metropolitan area; and whether he proposes to take any steps with a view to that accommodation being improved, and particularly so that provision can be made for keeping female dogs in separate kennels pending their removal to a dogs' home?
§ Mr. CLYNESThe accommodation for this purpose is under inspection by officers of the Commissioner of Police and not directly by my Department. Measures are under consideration for the improvement of the accommodation generally, and the particular matter referred to will not be lost sight of.
