§ Mr. CLYNESThe figures in question for September, 1929–30, are 9,124 man days and £16,736 lls. 4d. I should add that these figures cover 40 race meetings. The first figure includes men of all ranks, and the sums paid to the receiver include travelling expenses, subsistence allowances, etc., as well as the charges in respect of the pay, pensions, etc., of the men.
