§ Mr. P. SNOWDENThe Dog Licence Duty is not an Imperial, but a local taxation duty. I have some sympathy with the hon. Member's suggestion; but I doubt whether it would be practicable. In any case I could not consider the initiation of legislation to give effect to it unless it were supported by the various local authorities concerned.
