HC Deb 02 December 1930 vol 245 c2021W
Mr. LLOYD

asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been called to the recent fatal accident on the road bridge over the canal at Llandaff North, Glamorganshire, and to the rider by the coroner's jury that this bridge is an unusually dangerous one; and will he take any steps in the matter for the public safety?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

I have received a report upon this accident. My divisional road engineer is in communication with the Cardiff City Council (who are the responsible highway authority) with respect to this bridge, and I am prepared to consider an application for a grant from the Road Fund towards the cost of any approved scheme that the corporation may submit for its improvement or reconstruction.
