HC Deb 15 April 1930 vol 237 c2761W
Mr. D. G. SOMERVILLE

asked the Secretary of State for War if he can make any statement as to the number of cases within the last six months in which the dissemination of seditious literature to the Army has been detected: and where these cases occurred?

Mr. SHAW

I do not think any detailed statement desirable, but I may say that there has been a certain number of sporadic cases in which pamphlets and leaflets containing matter subversive of military discipline have been disseminated among soldiers. The cases have not been of such a nature as to call for serious notice.
