Mr. WEST RUSSELLasked the Home Secretary if, in view of the numbers of coloured alien seamen now coming over to this country and settling here, he proposes to suggest to the different police authorities an examination of the papers of all such aliens, with a view to their deportation home at the earliest possible date?
§ Mr. CLYNESI think that the steps which are already taken deal adequately with this matter. They include constant communication between my Department and police authorities and deportation in proper cases.
