HC Deb 09 April 1930 vol 237 c2179W
Mr. RAMSBOTHAM

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty when a visit by any units of the Atlantic Fleet was last paid to Morecambe; and whether it is his intention that any such visit shall take place during the coming summer?

Mr. AMMON

There is no record of a visit to Morecambe, but Heysham was visited by His Majesty's Ship "Liffey" on 20th February, 1930. Arrangements are being made by the Commander-in-Chief, Atlantic Fleet, for Morecambe and Heysham to be visited this year from 29th June to 4th July by His Majesty's Destroyers "Watchman" and "Whirlwind."
