HC Deb 31 October 1929 vol 231 c353W
Mr. GRANVILLE

asked the Minister of Transport if he will state the length of permanent -way to be built and track to be laid to complete the scheme of a through line of the Mid-Suffolk Railway from Haughley to Halesworth, for which Government grant is under consideration; and if he will state the number of men at present employed on that line?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

I believe the distance between the places referred to is about five miles, but no application is at present before me for powers to construct a light railway between these places.
