§ Sir R. GOWERasked the Minister of Agriculture whether the new treatment for distemper in dogs is proving successful?
Mr. BUXTONThe "Field" Distemper Research Committee was not appointed by the Ministry, and my knowledge of the progress of this new vaccine treatment for distemper in dogs is confined to the reports published by the Committee. I am not, therefore, in a position to say whether the treatment is proving successful, but I understand that the Committee has assisted a commercial laboratory to prepare the vaccine and make it available to the public.
