asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can indicate the extent to which advantage has been taken by the farmers of Carmarthenshire of the facilities offered by the Agricultural Credits Act?

Applications for loans under Part I of the Agricultural Credits Act, 1928, received by the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation from Carmarthen shire, are as follow:—

Of these the following have been completed:—

7 loans on mortgage £15,050

Nineteen agricultural charges under Part II of the Act have been registered at the Land Registry for Carmarthen shire.
