§ Sir R. ASKEasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the serious overcrowding in the industrial centres, he will, in the Housing Bill under preparation, provide for the building of a large number of small houses to be let at rents which the poorest can afford to pay; and whether for this purpose the Government will be prepared to regard this pro vision as a national charge, so as to relieve the already depressed areas from additional burdens?
