HC Deb 14 November 1929 vol 231 c2266W
Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the Minister of Labour with reference to the prospective adherence of this country to the Washington Eight Hours Convention, whether she will say if her Department is considering the position of out-door amusement caterers with a view to exempting them from Clause 5 of the Convention dealing with the transfer of passengers or goods by rail, road or water, seeing that the outdoor amusement caterers only use their motor vehicles for the purpose of transporting their amusements from place to place and that their motor vehicles are used for the driving and lighting of their amusements?

Miss BONDFIELD

The matter has been brought to the notice of the Department and will receive full consideration.
