HC Deb 14 November 1929 vol 231 c2250W
Mr. HOPKIN

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will state the number of applications which have been received for small holdings in Carmarthenshire; how many such applications were granted; and the amount of land so granted?

Dr. ADDISON

The number of holdings provided by the Carmarthenshire County Council prior to the passing of the Small Holdings and Allotments Act, 1926, was 177, with a total area of 4,025 acres. The number of applicants then remaining on the list, or added to it up to the 31st December, 1928, was 39, of whom at that date two had been provided with four acres, while 33 had with-drawn their applications and four were awaiting holdings.
