HC Deb 14 November 1929 vol 231 c2246W
Miss RATHHONE

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will state the reasons for which two soldiers of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders on garrison duty in the West Indies were recently sent to penal servitude?

Mr. SHAW

The proceedings of the General Court Martial have not yet been received, but information has been received that three soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, stationed at Jamaica, were tried and convicted toy General Court Martial on two charges of joining in a mutiny in forces belonging to His Majesty's Forces.
