HC Deb 13 November 1929 vol 231 c2059W
Mr. FRANK SMITH

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what proportion of unestablished, part-time, and full-time service, respectively, counts towards pension in the case of civil servants who enter as unestablished and subsequently receive established appointments?

Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCE

The extent to which any previous full-time unestablished service given by an established civil servant is reckoned for pension depends, as provided by Section 3 of the Superannuation Act, 1887, upon the special circumstances of each case. Part-time unestablished service is excluded.
