HC Deb 13 November 1929 vol 231 c2056W
Mr. WINTERTION

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Urban District Council and Leicestershire County Council have approached the London, Midland and Scottish Railway Compay on the subject of the obstructive railway bridge at the Callis, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, without obtaining any improvement of the position; and whether, in view of the dangerous character of this bridge, both to motorists and pedestrians, he will take the question up with the railway company with a view to securing reconstruction?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

I am not aware that representations have been made by the councils to the railway company. I am, however, making inquiries into the matter and will acquaint the hon. Member with the position as soon as I am able to do so.
