HC Deb 12 November 1929 vol 231 c1752W
Mr. HOPKIN

asked the Home Secretary if his attention has been called to the position of the miners on compensation from the S. R. Colliery, Cross Hands; and what steps he proposes taking to ensure that these men are paid compensation at once?

Mr. SHORT

The attention of my right hon. Friend has not been called to this case before the Debate on Wednesday last. He is informed that the colliery is in the hands of a Receiver and he has written to the Receiver asking for a statement of the position. As soon as he has received it, he will communicate with the hon. Member.
