§ Mr. PETHICK-LAWRENCEMy right hon. Friend is not prepared to adopt this suggestion. Arrangements are made, where the circumstances warrant it, for the grant of assistance from the Exchequer for the purpose, as in the recent case of the purchase of the Cornaro Titian and the Wilton Diptych.
