HC Deb 11 November 1929 vol 231 cc1549-50W
Mr. FOOT

asked the Attorney-General whether he will take steps to withdraw

Mr. ROBERTS

I am fully conversant with the facts of Mr. Hesketh's case, concerning which I have been in correspondence with the right hon. Gentle man. The powers and duties of the Ministry extend only to disablement arising out of war service, and I am satisfied that for such disablement Mr. Hesketh has been adequately compensated, and that his present condition of incapacity is not connected with service. The Ministry's final award was confirmed by the independent Pensions Appeal Tribunal, and I regret that I am unable to take any further action in the case.
