HC Deb 11 November 1929 vol 231 c1542W
Mr. KELLY

asked the Minister of Transport which interests were consulted as to the appointment of the chairman and members of the Central Electricity Board, and the parties and interests who nominated men for the positions?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

Before appointing the Central Electricity Board a large number of associations and individuals representative of the interests of local government, electricity, commerce and industry, transport, agriculture and labour were consulted. I could not, however, undertake to give a detailed list of those who were consulted in connection with this matter.
