HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c855W
Lieut.-Colonel WINDSOR-CLIVE

asked the Postmaster-General whether, in considering the question of an increase in the proportion of women to men employed in the Post Office, care will be taken that no men hitherto employed will lose their employment in consequence?

Mr. LEES-SMITH

I do not anticipate that any increase that may take place in the proportion of women employed in the Post Office will necessitate the discharge of male staff, other than purely casual employés.
