HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c863W
Mr. LAWTHER

asked the Minister of Labour what are the results of recent investigations carried out by the Ministry in relation to unemployed miners at the Lanchester Employment Exchange?

Miss BONDFIELD

The investigation involved inquiries into the industrial qualifications and domestic circumstances of a considerable number of men, with a view to determining what further steps could be taken to assist them and their dependants to obtain employment. The results cannot be conveniently summarised in the form of an answer to a Parliamentary question, but I shall be pleased to give my hon. Friend further particulars if he will consult me.
