HC Deb 05 November 1929 vol 231 c873W
Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary for Mines if he is aware that when the limitation of output scheme for certain coalfields, known as the five counties marketing scheme, was introduced some confusion, inconvenience, and loss was suffered in the coal exporting and bunkering ports, especially on the River Humber; and whether he is taking, or will take, steps to consult with those chiefly concerned before his present proposals come into force, with a view to minimising inconvenience at the shipping ports?

Mr. TURNER

I am aware of the difficulties to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers, and he may rest assured that in considering such schemes I will have careful regard to all the interests concerned.
