HC Deb 04 November 1929 vol 231 cc620-1W
Sir B. FALLE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether the provisions of Victory Daily Order No. 1,363 of 1929 will apply also to officers; and if he will state the number of officers borne on the books of the Royal Naval Barracks, Portsmouth, and employed in that establishment who are in receipt of provision and lodging allowances?

Mr. AMMON

The provisions of the Order quoted will apply also to any officers who are accommodated in the Royal Naval Barracks and whose work lies inside the barracks, in the same way as the Order applies to ratings. The number of officers now borne and employed in the establishment who are in receipt of lodging and provision allowances is 61 in receipt of both allowances, 13 in receipt of lodging allowance only, and three in receipt of provision allowance only.
