Glyn, Mills, Currie, and Company, bankers, were granted permission to erect premises on the Admiralty site in Whitehall; and what proportion of the floor space available on completion of this new building is to be rented by the Admiralty for office or other accommodation.

§ Mr. LANSBURYI have been asked to reply. This site is being developed by Messrs. Glyn, Mills, Currie and Company under a reciprocal agreement whereby accommodation adjoining and connected to the Admiralty will be made available for a concentration of official staffs in return for the use of the ground floor and a section of the upper part of the new buildings by Messrs. Glyn, Mills, Currie and Company. The cost of the new building, which will have a total superficial area, including the basement, of approximately 44,000 square feet, is being borne by the company, and approximately 29,000 square feet on the upper floors will be occupied by official staffs. The agreement covers a period of 99 years from the date of the completion of the building.
