HC Deb 21 February 1929 vol 225 cc1317-8W
Dr. SHIELS

asked the Minister of Pensions how many tuberculous ex-service men are known to the Ministry to be in Scotland and to be in the Lothians area?

Major TRYON

I have no information as to the total number of ex-Service men suffering from tuberculosis, but the number of cases of ex-Service men in Scotland suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis which has been accepted as in any degree connected with their War service is about 2,700. No separate record exists of the number of these cases in the Lothians.
