§ Mr. DUCKWORTHasked the Postmaster-General what are the hours worked by night operators in the telephone department on each night of the week in London and, if there is any difference, in the provinces.
§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONFull time night telephonists, both in London and the provinces, give a weekly attendance of 45 hours. In the majority of eases the men give three long attendances (8 p.m.-8 a.m.) and three short attendances (8 p.m.-11 p.m.) each week; but various other arrangements of hours are adopted as local circumstances dictate.
