HC Deb 27 November 1928 vol 223 c260W
Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

asked the Minister of Health whether he will consider the possibility of amending Section 1 of the Blind Persons Act, 1920, so as to enable blind persons to obtain the pension at an earlier age than 50?

Sir K. WOOD

The Advisory Committee on the Welfare of the Blind are at the request of my right hon. Friend investigating the whole question of assistance to the unemployable blind, and he does not propose to consider any Amendment of the Blind Persons' Act until he has received the recommendations of the Committee.
